Lake Country pads are more aggressive than microfiber pads, which are more aggressive than foam pads. Wool pads generate less heat than microfiber pads and work well on gelcoat, sticky paint, and very soft lacquers. However, wool pads are less suitable for finishing because the hairs leave behind small scratches.
